Bob is an executive consultant with Tech Strategies. Bob’s background includes successful
senior executive positions with expertise in technology, strategy and operations. He has provided innovative management to
numerous rapidly growing global organizations and has a consistent record of achieving superior results in "mission critical"
roles. He has expertise in strategic planning and team building with unique ability to align technology with business operations
objectives.
Bob has consulted with a major rural telecom service provider to reposition a failing billing and customer
care replacement project ($230 million budget and, three year duration). He also installed many best practice improvements
including a program management office; coached and mentored executives, senior business, IT and project leaders; reorganized
project teams and accountabilities; installed program governance; improved vendor management and relationships; initiated
new project planning, budget and remediation activities.
Bob has provided
business planning to major clients such as Oracle and local Government Agencies. He led teams assembled to accelerate service
development, improve business process and decrease time to profitability.
Bob was Chief Information Officer & Senior Vice President for BCE Teleglobe Communications where he repositioned
and transformed the Information Technology organization. He participated as an
executive operations management board member to determine corporate strategy and monitor progress.
Bob was recognized
within corporate organization for success in program management, vendor management, staffing and team building as well as
for leadership and sound judgment. He was responsible for an $80 million budget.
Bob also served as Chief Information Officer at 2nd Century Communications were he managed a $22 million
capital budget and created the vision, strategy and program to build the IT team from sixteen to fifty employees. Robert served as Vice President, Telecom Strategy at Sema Group in Paris, France where he provided Sema Group’s executive management team with strategic
planning, enabling growth and business development in a global telecom market. He provided competitive market analysis and
developed and executed a merger and acquisition strategy. Robert
has also held executive positions at Iridium LLC, SBC Communications, Southwestern Bell Mobile, and Cellular One.
Bob has an MBA with a specialty in Management Information Systems from Bentley College
Graduate School. He also has completed a Mid Management Program at Southern Methodist University. He has a PMP, Project
Management Professional Certification and is a member of Member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). He is a member
of Potomac Officers Club, Washington D.C.-based organization of CXOs for business development and advancement of the areas
high-tech industries and ventures.
